This year More Than Athletes will be hosting the very first City of Olathe Middle School East vs West All-Star Game. This game will take place after both boys and girls seasons are completed on March 20ththis Spring. This will be a great event for selected players to participate in and others to be a part of. This game is not affiliated with the school district and will not involve Olathe coaches or facilities in order to abide with KSHSAA rules. I wanted to make you aware in case your players are contacted about being selected. Below is a little more information about the event, and feel free to follow us on social media to keep updated with news and events.
Our purpose for hosting this event is to create a special night for basketball lovers everywhere. The city is buzzing about this event and the families and athletes are so excited that we were able to create this venue for them. The look on the boys and girls faces motivates me everyday to try and make this event one that the families and community will never forget. We look forward to seeing you at the game!

The Doug and Jan Hanson Olathe Citizenship Award
Two of the most amazing people I have ever known have lived in Olathe for over thirty years. Doug and Jan Hansen have raised their amazing family, worked extremely hard, built relationships that will last a lifetime and continue to be role models to all that are blessed to know them. We are beyond proud to be naming the Citizenship Award after this extraordinary couple! They have sponsored and actively been a part of numerous
charities across the Olathe area. They give their time, talent and treasures without hesitation. Doug and Jan serve in their church, their community and even Africa! The love and devotion this couple shows each other, their children, their grandchildren and complete strangers is like nothing we have seen before. Our
hope for this Citizenship Award is to encourage the youth to live with such purpose, faithfulness and the desire to stand out and be noticed for all of the good you bring to others. Thank you Doug and Jan Hansen for being the
Christian leaders that my family and countless others have looked up to! We know without a doubt that one day the Lord will say, “Well done my good and faithful servants!”
